Work Day at Calhan, 10am, move a goodly amount of stuff to the steel caboose or Coach for storing, make space for the crossing gates to be stored in the depot, have a trash run, cut the broken tree down, saw the broken branches into fire wood, paint the railings and stairs of the steel caboose, move the table out for restraining of the wood, and organize the pavers in the depot.

Work Day at Calhan Depot, 9:30am, bring something to eat/drink, straighten out the depot baggage room, put the cross braces into the coach for storing, paint the big stencils on the side and the smaller ones on the cupola, strip the paint off the grab bars and repaint, set the real old narrow gauge rail on four ties for pick up within 10 days, and finish covering the roof of the coach with that rubber sealant.

Work Day at Calhan, 10:30am start. Hanging the caboose doors. Fire prevention as there will be grinding which could throw sparks to dry grasses and we need someone with water and shovel. Moving shelving from the passenger area. Inventory of what we have there as to railroad memorabilia. Possibly help unload soffit. Help move ties from coach area to where the bulk of them are stacked.

Work Day at Calhan. We will need at least one guide for the towns high school students who will be visiting us and helping out in cleaning the depot. In addition we need a few helpers to paint the logo on the caboose using the stencils we will have received from the stencil maker. We also need to get the station winterized. Please let Jim Jordan know if you can make it. Pizza from Roosters will be the lunch.

Work Party to prep road bed at Calhan. Contact Jim Jordan at 303-961-5929 if you can be there. This event is subject to the COVID-19 situation. Watch here for updates. We need to get the road bed prepared and rails laid. We need a couple of painters, wood workers, someone to repace two broken windows, an electrician and helper. We will have a drawing for a 1927 switch lamp in working condition, a 1930s switch lamp for the Grand Trunk Western in good condition and a CB&Q RR Violets and daisy demitasse cup. You must be present to win!
